In Performance LMS terminology, a job is one of a series of professional names that describe what a user does for the company. When a job is created, it appears in the Job Role drop-down list on the Settings tab of a user’s Profile screen.

To create a new job
- On the Admin menu, click User Groups > Manage Jobs.
- The Job List dialog box appears, displaying existing jobs. On the Job List dialog box toolbar, click the New Job button.
- The Job Properties dialog box appears. In the Name box, add the name. Try to make the name as descriptive as possible with a minimum of words.
- In the Description box, add a description of the job.
- Leave the Default Role check box empty.
- Select the Manager Role check box if you would like users assigned to this role to be selected as managers by other users.
- Click Save.
11.12. Delete a Job
To remove a job from the Job Role drop-down list on the Settings tab of the user's Profile, you must delete it from the job list.
To delete a job
- On the Admin menu, click User Groups > Manage Jobs.
- In the Job List dialog box, select the job.
- On the Job List dialog box toolbar, click the Delete Job button.
- In the message box, click OK.
11.13. Map an Audience Type to a Job Role
Map an audience type to a job role to assign all members of the audience type to the job role. Using this dynamic mapping, audience type membership is calculated each time the audience type is used and includes the users who qualify at that point in time.
To map an audience type to a job
- On the Admin menu, click User Groups > Manage Jobs.
- The Job List dialog box appears. Select the icon to the left of the job.
- The Job Membership Administration screen appears, with the name of the job at the top.
- In the Type list, select Audience Type and then click Get Items.
- In the Audience Types list, select the audience type(s) and then click >>. To select multiple audience types, hold the CTRL key while clicking each audience type.
- Click Submit and then select Return.
